Costa Rica was an amazing experience with everyone and if I had the chance I wouldn’t change a thing. Well, maybe less trouble debugging my code would have been nice but other than that. I accomplished all of my goals for the trip: practiced Spanish, immersed myself in local culture, made friends at Rice, made friends abroad, worked on an interesting project, and had a lot of fun. I made so many unforgettable memories, from swimming with sharks to eating empanadas and casados. I was sad to see my Costa Rican journey come to an end but my time there certainly marked 41 of the most memorable days in my life.
As I was leaving Costa Rica, I saw a cool giant tree frog art installation in the terminal. 26 hours of travel with 3 flight and 2 train rides later, I finally arrived at my destination in northern Italy.
