Hi, I’m Fernando, a junior studying Electrical and Computer Engineering at Lovett College at Rice University. I’m thrilled to be heading to Mexico City, a place known for its rich culture, fascinating history, and incredible food. This experience is a great opportunity for me to step out of my usual environment and learn as much as I can while immersing myself in all the exciting new things the city has to offer. I’m really looking forward to broadening my academic and personal horizons during this time.
In addition to my academic goals, I’m also excited to explore some of Mexico City’s more adventurous offerings. I’ve heard that rock climbing is a popular activity here, and there are two climbing gyms just around the corner from where I’m staying, so I can’t wait to get started. On top of that, I’m really eager to visit the ancient pyramids—seeing such a historically significant site in person is going to be an unforgettable experience. All in all, I’m looking forward to a memorable and enriching time in Mexico City!
