Hey ISEED blog, my name is Gabriel Witkop! I’m a rising senior studying Electrical and Computer Engineering, with minors in both Engineering Design and Philosophy. This is my first time studying abroad (and my first time in Mexico!) and I’m very excited to be here. As for my life at Rice, I’m heavily involved at Will Rice College, serving as QUAD committee head. After college, I’m hoping to go into industry, but am tentatively interested in an MECE!

I’m going into this experience with very little prior knowledge, just excited to be here and ready to learn! I’m most excited about the interdisciplinary aspect of this trip – although I enjoy ELEC, I find it very fulfilling to explore outside my comfort zone. I’m looking forward to what’s in store, and hopefully I’m able to share what I work on!
