Hey everyone! My name is Jovanny Nazario and I am a current freshman, rising sophomore and I am still between Civil and Mechanical Engineering. At Rice, I am at the best college… BROWN, and I had such a great O-Week that im doing it again, but this time as a parent! I also come from the far east coast from the best city in the world, New York City! I am from the Bronx and I am super excited to be here on this trip and to get to know everyone!
I come from a family of 8: two parents, 3 siblings, two dogs, and I! I am the second oldest of the pack and I can’t wait to go back home and see my family and tell them all the things I’ve seen, done, and learned while away for so long! They are all so amazing and this is the first time I’ve been away for so long so I can’t wait to hug them 🙂
I have been to Mexico once before this and I went to my mother’s hometown in Puebla called Tulcingo del Valle! It was such a great experience and I also stayed there for a month. I chose to do the ISEED program because I know I have to declare this upcoming fall and I am hoping these classes help me decide or at least give me a good idea of which of the two I want to choose! Regardless, I am hoping to make lasting connections here with my fellow peers and learn a lot about some of the specific applications of the classes we are taking(water purification and engineering design)!
