Times goes fast, and now ISEED is over. While I’m quite sad and will definitely miss Bologna, I am excited for my post-program plans and ultimately going home. This final week was quite different as we spent three days in Turin, which was a nice change in scenery.
We headed to Turin on Tuesday, right after our morning class. Arriving in the late afternoon, I decided to go for a walk after some rest at our hotel. I headed to a nearby park along the Po river, where I enjoyed a nice stroll.

Wednesday morning, we visited the space company Thales Alenia, which was really cool. After lunch, I got a bicerin – a local specialty drink that includes chocolate, espresso, and cream – which was extremely delicious. In the afternoon, we visited Politecnico di Torino, where Dr. Trevas gave a lecture.
Throughout this week, I also worked on our MECH 203 final project. Our group decided to model and animate a gumball machine, and I modeled and assembled the internal gears.
We had one more day of class on Friday upon returning to Bologna. I left earlier than most since I had a train that afternoon. However, I still managed to have a group lunch with some of my classmates before leaving, where I had this pistachio-topped pizza.
