It was really exciting to get to visit different levels of healthcare in Kenya. My major takeaway that week was that most problems faced can be tackled with just enough funding, but since there is not enough money, technology and innovation can play a huge role in solving them. Also, as a local at Kenyatta University in Nairobi, it was great to interact with international students and faculty from Rice University. My highlight of the week was getting to know and interact with students from Rice.
