week 2 – yay

ENGI 350

As a new week began, so did a new class. On Tuesday, we began ENGI 350 at ULACIT. We had a few lectures from Dr. Wettergreen about project implementation and testing plans. After, we directly implemented what we just learned to write project pitches and testing plans. It was nice to be able to go more in depth in creating a testing plan compared to what we did in ENGI 120. I decided to do my project pitch on making hospital waiting rooms better. It was based off of observations that I made during the clinical observations. I finished the pitch doc, but I still have to make a video. I’m planning to make a really fire video, so stay tuned. My team and I also wrote a really fire testing plan. It was very thorough and made sure the device would be safe, durable, comfortable, easy to use, and perform well. I had a good time thinking of different aspects we needed to test and innovative ways we could test them. One interesting idea we had (that we ultimately did not go with) was sticking plantains into the device to see if the skin would bruise, and that would simulate possible pressure points that could cause blisters on the user’s skin. I’m sad that the class is over but I’m glad I got to learn so much and do a bunch of hands on activities during such a short time!

WEEK 2 FUN THINGS (not that engi 350 is not fun! it is super fun!)

On Tuesday, some people went to the grocery store again and we bought more pasta. I was very glad they didn’t get Hunt’s sauce again because it is not that good. We ate lots of pasta and made guac again. I’m basically a guac making expert at this point. Wednesday was Benji’s birthday! Happy birthday Benji! We went to get pizza and came back to chill in the kitchen. On Thursday we ordered tacos that were reeeeeally yummy. On Friday, to celebrate the last day of ENGI 350, we went bowling with Dr. Wettergreen and Professor Bisesti. I was able to take this BeReal with Dr. Wettergreen before he left.

We went to the grocery store and bought dinner supplies and snackies (chocolate!) and came back to Selina. We did a quick workout on the terrace and went down to eat tacos and chips and guac. They were pretty good. Then we ate tres leches cake and played Brawl Stars for a while. I’m excited to start ENGI 200 tomorrow!
